How We Work Together
At Next Chapters, we build an educational pathway
for your child in partnership with you.
Many families continue working with us long after successful
interviews for continuous learning support, social-emotional
development, transition assistance, or ongoing educational coaching.

Initial Meet
& Greet
We begin every partnership with an in-person meeting with the parent. This is where we get to know your family, learn about your child, understand what you’re looking for, and share our expertise on Hong Kong’s school landscape. We want to ensure a good fit so we’re choosing each other as partners on your child’s developmental journey.
Child Assessment
Whether you choose a one-off assessment or a longer-term package, every journey begins with an initial assessment.
We work directly with your child for 30 minutes, running them through carefully selected exercises to understand:
-
Where your child is developmentally
-
Their strengths and areas for growth
-
Their learning style and personality
-
What preparation is realistically needed for your target school(s)
Real-time Parent Feedback
Immediately following the assessment, we meet with the parents (in person or online) to:
-
Share specific observations and insights
-
Walk you through a tailored plan
-
Provide honest, realistic guidance on school fit and timeline
-
Discuss different options and pathways and set clear expectations
Getting Started
Based on the assessment, we create a personalized roadmap that might include:
-
Specific skills to develop (pencil grip, pronunciation, conceptual understanding, ’language competencies etc.)
-
Realistic school targets based on your child’s current abilities
-
Timeline adjustments if needed
Ongoing Partnership
We then work one-to-one with students, either:
-
At your home (for younger children, typically under 4.5 years)
-
At our Central office (for children 4.5+ who can handle the environment)
Throughout the journey, we provide:
-
Regular progress updates
-
Photos of activities
-
Communication with both parents and careers
-
Adjustments to the plan as your child develop
